HOW TO REPLACE A MULTIPOINT DOOR LOCK
If your door wonβt lock properly or the handle feels loose, the multipoint locking mechanism may need replacing. Follow this guide to remove your old lock strip and fit a new one safely and securely.

π§ STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE
1οΈβ£ Remove the Door Handle & Cylinder
Unscrew the handle and pull out the euro cylinder lock. Keep all screws safe for reassembly.
2οΈβ£ Open the Door Fully
Lay the door flat (if possible) or open it wide to access the full locking strip along the edge.
3οΈβ£ Remove the Old Lock Strip
Unscrew all fixing points along the full length of the metal strip and gently pull the mechanism out of the slot.
4οΈβ£ Measure the Backset & Lock Length
Measure the backset (distance from door edge to spindle) and full length of the mechanism. Match these when ordering your new lock.
5οΈβ£ Fit the New Lock Mechanism
Slide the new multipoint lock into place and secure it with screws. Reinstall the euro cylinder and handle, then test all locking points for smooth engagement.
