๐ง STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE
1๏ธโฃ Remove the Existing Handle
Unscrew the two fixing screws from the inside of the door and gently separate both handle halves. Take note of the spindle position before removing it.
2๏ธโฃ Measure the Fixing Screw Centres
Measure the distance between the two screw holes (commonly 92mm or 68mm). This ensures your new handle matches perfectly.
3๏ธโฃ Check the Spindle Length
Measure the spindle (the square bar connecting the two handles). Cut or replace it to the correct length if necessary.
4๏ธโฃ Fit the New Handle
Insert the spindle through the lock, position both handles, and tighten the fixing screws evenly. Do not overtighten โ it can restrict handle movement.
5๏ธโฃ Test the Handle Function
Check that the handle moves smoothly and engages the lock correctly. Make small adjustments if the latch feels stiff or misaligned.
๐ก Pro Tip: Keep one hand on the handle while tightening screws to ensure perfect alignment and avoid strain on the mechanism.
