🔧 STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE
1️⃣ Remove the Existing Handles
Unscrew the fixing screws from the interior handle and pull both sides gently away from the door. Keep the screws and spindle for reuse if they’re still in good condition.
2️⃣ Measure the Screw and Spindle Centres
Measure the distance between the two fixing screws (usually 92mm or 68mm) and check the spindle length. This ensures your new handles are the correct fit.
3️⃣ Check Handle Orientation
Ensure you’ve chosen the correct handle pair — one left-handed and one right-handed handle for a proper French door setup.
4️⃣ Fit the New Handles
Insert the spindle through the lock, position both handles, and screw them in place evenly. Tighten gently to avoid damaging the plastic or metal finish.
5️⃣ Test the Operation
Check that both handles move smoothly, the lock engages correctly, and the doors meet neatly in the centre without resistance.
💡 Pro Tip: If your doors feel misaligned after fitting, adjust the hinges slightly to ensure a perfect central seal.
